Liese is an abstract painter living in Devon. Rich in layers and with an authentic surface each of her paintings has its own story to tell. This collection of work is inspired by the vibrant fresh colours and textures of Antibes in Southern France.

The process of creating work is very important to Liese with her starting point often the colours and shapes she sees around her. Initial sketches and photos are collected on location and taken back to the studio to use as starting points for her paintings. Shapes appear on the canvas as she starts to work on the first layers and colour is laid down. Liese works on as many pieces as she can fit in her studio at any one time, each piece informs the next.
